Smartphones are the buzz words in the market today. Communication on the move. Business on the move. You can do a lot with a smartphone.than you did with a conventional phone.
However, given that it comes with jazzy apps and resource hungry features, the question you really need to ask yourself is, do you really need a smart phone?
If you need to be connected to the internet on the move – yes, if you need to work on your presentation on the way to work – yes, if you are habituated to keep yourself updated with what’s happening on your facebook acoount – yes.
If you primarily use your mobile phone to talk and text, I don’t see a point in buying an expensive handset whose battery doesn’t last more than 16-18 hours. This is especially true with folks of the older generation who are not so tech savvy.
Having said this, the young at heart turks need not stop at it. Get onto the android bandwagon and play Angry Birds to your heart’s content.

LG has announced plans in 2012 to upgrade it’s range of Android phones to the latest version of the operating system Ice Cream Sandwich.
Phones planned to upgraded during April-June 2012 are LG Optimus LTE, Prada by LG 3.0, LG Optimus 2X, LG Optimus Sol, LG myTouch Q and LG Eclipse. Other models that will be upgraded during the third quarter (July-September) of 2012 are LG Optimus 3D, LG Optimus Black, LG Optimus Big, LG Optimus Q2, LG Optimus EX.
